Things To Do In NYC
Visiting NYC for the first time? There are so many wonderful things to do and see – and so much gluten free food to eat! Here are a few recommendations of places to visit, several of which are near Senza Gluten Restaurant in Greenwich Village:
- The High Line – A public park on Manhattan’s West Side that was built on an elevated rail line. It runs about 20 blocks and is a beautiful place for a stroll before dinner.
- Washington Square Park – A beautiful park with dozens of tall trees, a large fountain, and an iconic arch located just two blocks away from Senza Gluten Restaurant. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon and listen to one of the many musicians who give impromptu performances in the park on spring, summer, and fall days.
- See a Broadway show! – There’s nothing quite like seeing a Broadway show in a historic NYC theatre. The TKTS booth in Times Square offers discounted tickets the day of the show, and Times Square is a quick subway ride away from our restaurant using the A, C, or E train.
- See an Opera at the MET – A special recommendation from Teona, Senza Gluten’s owner and co-founder. There’s nothing quite like visiting Lincoln Center, watching a breathtaking performance, and walking outside to see the iconic fountain lit up in the center of the plaza. Lincoln Center is a quick trip uptown on the 1 train.
- Meet others with celiac disease – Do you have celiac disease and would like to connect with locals during your trip? Check out the NYC Celiac Disease Meetup Group and see if any public community events are scheduled during your stay!
And, of course, we hope you’ll choose to dine at Senza Gluten Restaurant! We highly recommend booking a reservation in advance, especially if you are visiting on a weekend or holiday. Reservations can be made through Open Table or by calling us directly. Hope to see you soon in our little corner of Sullivan Street!
Buon appetito!
